​Welcome to Shades of Scarlets!  Located on 90 acres of land in Western New York, Shades of Scarlets was born in 2009 with the purchase of Petri, a wild type male, from a pet store.  As a hobby breeder, my birds are pets first and breeders second.  I only breed a pair or two at time to prevent overbreeding and to ensure a good market for my birds. ​

I am a licensed Veterinary Technician.  I spent the majority of my career, to date, working in a small animal, exotic and avian practice.  From finches to macaws I have worked with them all!  I have even worked with raptor rehabilitation.  I have learned a lot which I bring to my breeding program.
